<P> ESPN宣布将会在1995年6月中在罗得岛举行第一次的极限运动会(Extreme Games)。</P>

<P> X Games路演 (The X Games Road Show)，一个为期两天的交互式极限运动博览会在4月初次登场，巡回12座城市包括旧金山、波士顿和迈阿密。6月初，X Games第一个国际性表演在中国上海举行。这场表演表现了特技单车、直排滑轮和滑板。</P>
<P> 6月下旬将近20万名现场观众参予X Games运动会，而包括风筝式滑雪(Kiteskiing)、风浪板和越野单车全都被滑板滑水(wakeboarding)取代，而ESPN Sportszone网站则从罗得岛透过网际网络现场报导X Games运动会。</P>
<P> ESPN宣布将会在1997年在加州的Summit Mountain Resort(Big Bear Lake)举行第一个冬季X Games运动会，竞赛项目包括滑雪板(snowboarding)、攀冰岩(ice climbing)、雪地越野单车(snow mountain bike racing)及穿越(crossover)等多项复合式运动盛行而著名。</P>

<P> 1月时，两万五千名现场观众在科罗拉多的Crested Butte聚集了四天，欣赏第二届冬季X Games运动会，新加入的运动包括花式滑雪(freeskiing)、雪地越野摩托(snowmobile snocross)和skiboarding。</P>
<P> 4月时，第一场国际性的X Games资格赛在泰国普吉岛举行。亚洲X Games资格赛是由来自环太平洋各国200 位选手参与，以争取参加圣地亚哥X Games运动会的资格。</P>
<P> 5月时，第二届的X Trials比赛展开，在佛罗里达州的St. Petersburg以及维吉尼亚州的维吉尼亚海滩举行，引证了X Games极限运动正在不断快速的发展。</P>
