A graduate of Economics from Tsinghua University, with eagerness to dedicate himself to advanced finance research and ambition to participate in the blueprint of the future of China, I decided to tender my resignation letter to my previous employer and pursue my goal to be an independent economist.
On the strength of my performance in the National University Entrance Exam, the third highest out of over 200 examinees in Chengdu No.14 Middle School, I was admitted in 1996 into the School of Management at Tsinghua University. I studied with great passion and diligence to make the best of all these resources, as I was so fascinated by the forceful logic, exquisite mathematical format and social significant of economics and finance, feeling there were so many interesting topics deserving to be explored. Regrettably, I did not endeavor to grasp as much mathematics as possible, and missed so many courses such as differential equation, stochastic process and econometrics. Despite these pitfalls in formal mathematical trainings, my diligent work was still well rewarded and won me an excellent academic record, and I got an opportunity to further pursue a master's degree in Shanghai.
My life to date has seen my deep interest and competence in economic studies. Now, as I look to the future, I recognize my continuing need for intellectual stimulation adn my desire to establish myself. I have the intellectual prowess, commitment, and enthusiasm to be an excellent economist, and I hope my quit wil allow me to take the vital first step towards this goal.
