<P> 外表看起来平凡、内向的高中生“小耀”（千正明）在学校也是个默默无闻的老实学生。偶然的机会开始学轮滑的“小耀”，每天独自一人在公园里练习，并遇到了一群同样喜欢轮滑的年轻人。小耀对其中有着轮滑绝技的蚊子（金江宇）佩服得五体投地。</P>

<P> 出神地看着“蚊子”表演绝技的“小耀”，在热情的韩珠邀请下加入了这支轮滑队伍。逐渐地这支队伍里的队员们填补了小耀心中离家出走的父母们的位置。看着自己的偶像，蚊子与蚊子恋人韩珠的感情日渐深厚，对队长甲巴也充满了信任，小耀在与他们的接触中逐渐感觉到自己身上的变化。 广告摄影棚里的事故，梦想破灭了 </P>
<P> 为了筹集参加世界大赛，而不乐意地接拍广告的“蚊子”，听到身边人们讽刺的话后，故意惹出了事故。因这次事故背负一身债的这支队伍，为了还钱东奔西走。但是“蚊子”对自己开始的轮滑运动产生了悔意，对于无法理解“蚊子”的行动，连“韩珠”和“甲巴”都要离开轮滑队伍。“小耀”对一直当成家人般的他们的离去感到了失望，重新陷入彷徨中一阵台风过后，他们能迎接比之前更滚烫的太阳吗？ </P>

<P>这里有穿越高楼大厦和马路的年轻人，不在乎别人的眼光，喜欢做自己喜欢的事情，不受束缚，只是在享受生命中的每一天的他们，电影《台风太阳》正是关于靠自由，奔放的青春来支配着这个城市的一批推崇自由的年轻人们的故事。 作为电影学院的第一批学员，以一部《拜托小猫》而站稳影坛的郑宰恩导演第一次看到“轮滑”是在2001年去法国巴黎的时候。当看到穿跃马路而在空中的瞬间停止般的场面，郑宰恩导演感到了莫名的兴奋。到现在他的脑海中还存在当时的生动的场面，而《台风太阳》正是这个回忆的追寻工作中的最终结果。 </P>
