On the occasion of the BMW-Berlin Marathon Inlineskating partners from Industry, Federations, Organisers, Skaters and Teams met in Berlin to discuss the future of the WORLD INLINE CUP. Based on a working paper they reviewed with the WIC Management Team the status and the future of the premium race series.
The preliminary calendar for the upcoming season was defined. Modifications and innovations how to make the Inline sport more attractive, relevant and visible were the main topics at the meeting. The participants attended the world's biggest Inline Marathon on a sunny day with next to 6.000 skaters and a new record by Bart Swings from Belgium in 58:10.
During the upcoming weeks the WIC Management Team will liaise with FIRS President Aracu as well as other stakeholders and implement specific measures for existing and future partners allowing them to contribute and support. Thus the success of the WIC during 2015 and beyond can be ensured.
