Generally I try to type Chinese, at least in my posts on this board. However, if you read my posts, you will find that it is not that easy for me, as my typing in Chinese is rather slow. In any case, the fact that some "Foreign Devils" don't hold high respect for Chinese girls are not really caused by a few remarks on posts like this in English. I mean, after all, those who dated Chinese girls have experienced all of these first hand. Tom, a co-worker of mine summed it up quite interestingly. It may be a bit stereotypical but I will quote him any way. Per Tom, there are two kinds of Chinese girls, those from Shanghai and those from other places. The ones from Shanghai only go to bed with Foreign Devils that have money and those from other places go to bed with any foreigners. Don't take me wrong. Personally I have no problem with interracial marriages. The above quote is just to show that Foreign Devils are not as uninformed as you would like to believe. This is not just coming from foreign guys. In my prior job there were quite a few co-workers that are from different countries, including a few girls. They also had the same remark that it appears that Chinese girls, both from the mainland and Hong Kong are typically more concerned with what kind of money the guy makes. Definitely all women, Chinese or non-Chinese are concerned about future financial security, but it just seems that Chinese girls are even more so. I mean, the Chinese women I worked with all make very good money already and some can certainly support a husband that does not work. Once basic needs are met, money is not, I repeat, not, the most important thing in life. |
