The LFNS Guide to Halloween Skate Dress Up!

1Do dress up. Everyone else will. If you don’t you’ll be Billy no-mates. Everyone will point and laugh cruelly, because that’s a Halloweeny thing to do.

2‘Costumes’ can be simple – wear black, add face paint. Job done.
But it’d be nice if you try a bit harder than that. Sorry. We didn’t mean to use the word ‘nice’ in the context of Halloween there. Halloween isn’t meant to be ‘nice’. We meant ‘deliciously evilly wicked’.

3Bear in mind costumes that make you unrecognizable are fun. You can get picked up that way. “… Who are you? Oh sorry! I thought you were someone else… Hi! Nice to meet you! Nice costume! … Teeheehee!”. See? A good costume naturally creates a false sense of security, then you can get them alone, rip open their skull and eat their brain. This is Halloween remember, the definition of “pick up” is a bit altered.

4If going for a more complicated costume, perhaps something to make you a bit unrecognizable, bear in mind all of your friends know what your skates look like. They probably know what you look like wearing your skates better than you do. People get made by their skates. Made. When you get made, it’s all over baby, all over. You can forget about picking up.

5Do say hello to your ghastly neighbors. Refer however to cautionary note about being “picked up”.

6Do pose for photos, if you’re worried about how you’ll look on film, be a vampire.

7Do skate. It’ll be slow, we have to accommodate the zombies. Note the route passes halftime more than once, if you jump off at Trafalgar Square the first time we pass you can take an extra long half time. Let us know if you plan to do this, we’ll lend you some poison darts, you can gather halftime snacks for the cannibals.

8Remember to scare the public.We don’t really mean that. Well we sort of do. No, really, we don’t. Go ahead. No don’t. No really do. Don’t you dare. Do it, nothing can go wrong. You don’t dare. Ha, really nothing can go wrong. Ha ha ha. You’ll be fine. Hehe. We’re sure you’ll be fine. Haa! Oh yes, ha, ha, ha. Hmm. Mmmm… yeah we just wanna see you get banged up. Our little halloween joke. Ha ha. Hmm. No really, do scare the public. We want to see how it turns out.
