关于世界第一届轮滑运动会的消息：
今天看到朋友一个微信说这个活动2017年在南京举办，估计是个假消息，找出了一些消息来源，存在这里备用。

2015 Annual Congress of the FIRS

The Congress of the FIRS, the International Federation of Roller Sports, took place on Saturday February 21st, 2015 in Rome, Italy, at the Italian National Olympic Committee (INOC). Equivalent to an ordinary general assembly, that congress was meant to decide on the next orientations until 2017...

2017 Roller Games

The 2017 World Roller Games are the main topic of the congress. In the morning, the two candidates for the organization of the Roller Games, Lima (Peru) and Barcelona (Spain) shell out for long presentations of their respective projects in front of the assembly.

As a reminder, the Roller Games have the will to host the world championships of all the disciplines of skating simultaneously. It means more than 100 countries and over 6.000 competitors. The event needs exceptional infrastructures and the organization competences of a city that has already hosted the Olympics. It is the case of both candidates. Nankin City, China, had also applied for it but after the deadline, so that its candidacy was not taken into account.

Once the candidacy files submitted, a delegation of the FIRS visited the infrastructures in Barcelona. The visit planned for Lima was cancelled a few days before, for political reasons. It is a shame that both cities did not benefit from the same visiting conditions but it was beyond the control of the FIRS.

Barcelona started, with a team made of a dozen representatives including the president of the national federation, the elected representative for Sport in Barcelona, and marketing contributors. Lima took the floor in turn, in smaller numbers, but with certain enthusiasm and determination from its president.

At the end of the presentations, that took almost one hour each, the executive board of the FIRS withdrew to deliberate on the awarding of the 2017 Roller Games. The president of the FIRS, Sabatino Aracu, made a speech and after opening an envelope, modeled on the olympic attributions, declared the City of Barcelona the host of the 2017 Roller Games.

The 2017 World Roller Games having been awarded, there still remained the awarding of the two 2016 World Championships. The Speed Skating Worlds were awarded to the Chinese city of Nankin, and those of Artistic Skating to Novara, Italy.

The 2015 FIRS Congress announced a lot of changes heading in the right direction: A new image of the FIRS, a more open executive board and the 2017 Roller Games in Barcelona, which promise to be the best showcase of our sport. Meanwhile, whatever your skating specialization, you can already reserve the dates of the 2017 Roller Games that will take place from July 9th to 23rd, 2017.

The Host City of the first edition of the FIRS World Roller Games was decided during the FIRS Congress held in Rome on February 21，2015.

It has been an historical Congress for the International Federation of Roller Sports: two great presentations made by the delegations of Barcelona and Lima in front of more than 60 countries preceded the announcement of the hosting city for the first edition of the World Roller Games. FIRS President, Sabatino Aracu: "The World Roller Games will be a spectacular event gathering for the first time in one city the world championships of ten roller disciplines: artistic, speed, rink hockey, inline hockey, roller freestyle, skateboarding, inline freestyle, inline downhill, roller derby and inline alpine. Chosing Barcelona only confirms the great appeal both this city and the roller sports have on youth: I am sure it will be a great opportunity for both."

The 2016 Speed Skating World Championships and Artistic World Championships have also been assigned, respectively to Nanjing and Novara.

During the congress, another important step in keeping with the modernization of FIRS over the last years has been made regarding the new corporate image: a new logo, more representative of all roller sport disciplines and a new official website that will be soon online.

Guests from the sport world attended the Congress, such as: Marius Vizer, Sportaccord President, Mario Pescante IOC Member, Francesco Ricci Bitti AISF President, Josè Perurena IWGA President, Raffaele Chiulli ARISF President, Riccardo Fraccari ARISF Secretary General, Christian Wassmer from th IOC Sports Department and the Italian NOC Secretary General Roberto Fabbricini.

根据国际轮滑联合会的最新消息，原定2017年7月在西班牙巴塞罗那举办的第一届世界轮滑运动会将移师“世界轮滑之都”-南京！

移师的原因是导致巴塞罗那市政府政治立场发生巨大变化的选举后，市政府向国际轮联提出，他们不能保证前任举办一场最优轮滑运动会的承诺，要求解除承诺。在这关键时刻，中国南京挺身而出，接过了这场赛事的主办权。2015年2月的国际轮联大会上，南京曾有意申办这个赛事，但由于没有在规定的时间提交申办报告而失去申办资格。巴塞罗那的反悔，对于南京来说，无异是“天上掉馅饼”，“好饭不怕晚”。

这样，本网站2017年组队去巴塞罗那观摩和参加第一届世界轮滑运动会马拉松赛的活动也就取消了。

希望南京不辜负中国和世界轮滑爱好者的期望，把世界第一届轮滑运动会办成功，千万别象巴塞罗那和苏州那样，与国际轮联、WIC签了办赛协议又反悔。


World Roller Games 2017: from Barcelona to Nanjing

The first edition of the World Roller Games will take place in Nanjing, formerly seat of the Youth Olympics in 2014, and not in Barcelona, which was awarded during the FIRS Congress.

Contrary to what was decided last February in Rome, Barcelona will not be the seat of the first edition of the World Roller Games: following the elections that have led to a radical change in the political-administrative leadership, the new city administration has considered to be unable to guarantee the optimal organization of the event for 2017 and has asked to be released from the commitments.

This has not, however, stopped the project: the city of Nanjing, strong for the success of the last edition of the Youth Olympics and for the enormous spread and popularity of roller sports, present as a demonstration sport at the SportsLab during the Games, has declared itself ready to organize the edition of the World Roller Games of 2017.

Monday, February 1, at the presence of the President of CONI, Giovanni Malago, and Mario Pescante, IOC Permanent Observer at the UN, the FIRS President Sabatino Aracu and the Deputy Mayor of Nanjing, Hu Wanjin, will sign the official agreement. It will be also an opportunity for the formalization of "Nanjing - World Capital of Roller Sports."
